a2o together with Dethier, Vandebos en Michel Janssen Architecten awarded first prize in the competition Alken Valley
We are proud to announce that we won, together with Dethier, Vandebos en Michel Janssen Architecten the competition in Alken for the redevelopment of three sites of the municipality, including the locations of De Molen, the Taeymans site, and the Rijkswachtkazerne.
The competition is part of the ambitious Alken Valley 2030 project.
The Molen site will be transformed into a tourist centre with a new building complex that will house a visitor centre, a museum and catering facilities, among other things.
The Taeymans site and Rijkswachtkazerne will be transformed into residential areas, with commerce and outdoor spaces.
